Looking Forward to Spring

Today is Valentine’s Day and I’m looking forward to spring on the farm! The winter season has provided us and the lavender plants with some much-needed rest! The snow is gone and we’re in a warm stretch, thankfully. I know it probably won’t last but we’ll enjoy it while we can! March 20th is the official date of spring this year and we’re only five weeks away!

This time of year finds us getting the garden ready for the corn, beans, tomatoes, peppers, and more! Greg’s already planted the onions, garlic, and carrots and I’m busy sewing new projects to have at the festivals we attend. Speaking of festivals, here’s a list where you can find us this year. Keep watching for updates as we have a few additional festivals that aren’t confirmed yet!

April 18-19 The Franklin Flea Market, Franklin, TN

April 24-27 Franklin Main Street Festival, Franklin, TN

June 20 Jackson Square Lavender Festival, Oak Ridge, TN

Nov 6-8 Knoxville Christmas Fair, Knoxville Expo Center, Knoxville, TN

Nov 28 Downtown Maryville Holiday Festival, Maryville, TN

The lavender season starts early June and July, unfortunately, short and sweet. Once the plants are in full bloom, the farm will be open by appointment for visits to enjoy the beautiful colors and fragrance of our French variety, Phenomenal! Walk through the field, enjoy the scent, learn a little about the lavender, and pick your own bundle of lavender or call to pick-up a bundle prepared just for you! And don’t forget the hand-crafted lavender products made on the farm can be ordered on the website or picked up at the farm at your convenience.

Opportunities are available for gardening clubs, artists, photographers, families, and other groups to visit and learn about this amazing plant! Schedule by email or call us!

See you in the spring! - Marcee & Greg
